TARGETED SURFACE CLEANING
Lift the gum that everyday cleaning leaves behind
Chewing gum can flatten into dark spots that stick firmly to concrete. Sweeping and routine rinsing often leave those spots in place, especially around entrances, outdoor seating and busy pedestrian routes.
We assess the affected area before cleaning, then select treatment, water temperature and pressure for the surface. Where appropriate, gum removal can be combined with broader concrete cleaning so the surrounding walkway gets attention, too.

A PRACTICAL CLEANING PLAN
A clear plan for your gum cleanup
01
Assess the surface
We look at the pavement material, gum coverage and condition of the area. Let us know about decorative finishes, coatings or damaged concrete so we can discuss any limitations before work begins.
02
Treat and clean
We target the gum and loosen stuck-on deposits. Heat-assisted cleaning may help soften stubborn gum; pressure and treatment are selected for the surface rather than simply turned up.
03
Review and plan ahead
We review the cleaned area and discuss any remaining marks. If gum keeps returning to the same spots, ask about adding those areas to a recurring exterior-cleaning schedule.

RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL
Gum removal where foot traffic leaves its mark
We help business owners, property managers and homeowners clean gum from exterior concrete. These are common places to start.
Storefronts & retail entrances
Clean up gum near doors, checkout approaches and shopping-center walkways. These small areas get repeated foot traffic and are often among the first things customers see.
Sidewalks & pedestrian routes
Address scattered spots or heavier buildup along concrete paths. Share the approximate length and width of the affected walkway so we can understand the size of the job.
Restaurants & outdoor seating
Target gum on pavement around patios, waiting areas and seating. We can discuss access and timing with you to help work around customers and staff.
HOA & apartment common areas
Refresh shared entrances, courtyards and paths where gum collects over time. Property managers can identify recurring trouble spots for a focused cleanup or ongoing maintenance plan.

KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT
What to expect after gum removal
Removing the gum does not always remove every trace of it. Older deposits may leave a shadow, discoloration or a visible difference between the treated spot and surrounding pavement.
Concrete condition, surface coatings and the age of the buildup all matter. We’ll explain the likely limits of the cleanup and whether cleaning the wider area may help improve the overall appearance.

What affects the cost of gum removal?
A few spots at an entrance and a heavily marked shopping-center walkway need different amounts of work. Your estimate depends on the affected area, amount of gum, surface condition, access and whether wider concrete cleaning is included.
For a useful starting point, send a wide photo of the area and a close-up of the buildup. Include the property address, approximate dimensions and any scheduling needs; we’ll let you know if a closer look is needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Gum removal questions
What removes chewing gum from concrete?
Depending on the surface and buildup, targeted treatment and heat-assisted cleaning may help loosen the gum. Pressure washing can be part of the process, but pressure alone is not always the best approach.
Will there still be a mark after the gum is gone?
Possibly. Gum can leave discoloration or a shadow, and the newly cleaned spot may look different from the surrounding concrete; we’ll discuss those limits when assessing the area.
Can you remove gum from pavers or decorative concrete?
Those surfaces need an individual assessment. Tell us about pavers, sealers, coatings or decorative finishes so we can determine whether the service is suitable and explain any concerns.
Can gum removal be scheduled outside business hours?
Ask us about off-hours availability when requesting your estimate. We’ll discuss a workable time, access to the area and any pedestrian or customer traffic that needs to be considered.
Do you offer recurring gum cleanup?
We offer scheduled commercial exterior maintenance. If gum regularly collects around your property, we can discuss including those areas and choosing a cleaning frequency based on the amount of buildup.
Can you clean the rest of the sidewalk at the same time?
Yes, ask to include the surrounding walkway in your estimate. Broader sidewalk cleaning can address general grime alongside gum removal, with the approach based on the pavement and its condition.
